Young Kedah entrepreneurs urged to utilise digital technology developments

LANGKAWI: Young entrepreneurs in Kedah have been urged to capitalise on the developments in digital technology in order to take their businesses to a higher level.

Kedah Menteri Besar, Datuk Seri Ahmad Bashah Md Hanipah said Kedahans must not be left behind in the fast-paced era of digital technology, especially with the opportunities presented by the government.

“This can open up many doors of opportunity to young entrepreneurs as well as open their minds towards adopting more innovative approaches to business.

“The leaps and bounds made in the progress of digital technology can also drive Malaysia to be on par with developed nations, provided that there is cooperation from all fronts to achieve the goals,” he said.

He was speaking at the launch of the GO 4.0 Langkawi programme by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak at Dataran Parkir, Langkawi Development Board in Kuah, today.

Also present were Education Minister Datuk Seri Mahdzir Khalid, Human Resources Minister Datuk Seri Richard Riot as well as Kedah Malay Chamber of Commerce president Zuhaizar Abdul Karim.

Ahmad Bashah said GO 4.0 was organised to raise the level of awareness as well as educate entrepreneurs and other quarters on the challenges and opportunities brought about by Industrial Revolution 4.0 in driving the economy via digital platforms. --Reporting by ADIE SURI ZULKEFLI, MUHAAMAD HAFIS NAWAWI and AIZAT SHARIF.
