KUALA LUMPUR: Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Ministry has announced lower fuel prices from Feb 22 to 28.
The ministry, on its website and national TV station, RTM1 said effective midnight, a litre of RON95 petrol will be priced at RM2.17 (down 6 sen from RM2.23) while RON97 will retail at RM2.43 per litre (down 7 sen from RM2.50).
Meanwhile, diesel will cost RM2.13 per litre (down 6 sen from RM2.19).
The weekly fuel pricing mechanism was implemented in April last year.
A managed monthly float system for fuel prices had been in effect since Dec 1, 2014, following the removal of fuel subsidies.
