Zahid: Federal govt will not forsake Kelantan despite being under Pas control

PASIR MAS: The allocation given by the Federal Government to Kelantan is much bigger compared to the amount of the state revenue channeled to Federal government.

Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said the financial allocation and development given to Kelantan had never decreased over the years.

It had been continued since the leadership of Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi and now Datuk Seri Najib Razak although the state was ruled by Pas, he said.

He adds the Federal Government accepted that Kelantan in the last 28 years had been governed by Pas but nevertheless would continue to help the state and its people as this was part of their responsibility.

“I had always reminded myself and my friends, that it is enough Allah had given the chance to Pas (to rule the state) for 28 years.

“If possible, I would like to invite the people of Kelantan to express their gratitude to the Federal Government which had been helping them all this while, by expressing this through the coming 14th General Election (GE14).

He urged the people of Kelantan to choose the government and the party which had helped them.

“The people have to choose the people who give thanks and, as such, we feel the winds of change have come. Now is the time for us to take over Kelantan," he said this at meet-the-people programme at Kemubu Agricultural Development Authority (KADA) Square here today.
