Madani govt will continue developing southern Kelantan, says DPM

TANAH MERAH: Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi today said the Madani government will continue to develop the south part of Kelantan particularly areas under the South Kelantan Development Authority (KESEDAR).

The Deputy Prime Minister, who is also Rural and Regional Development Minister said the government believed that this will also benefit the people in the regions' surrounding area.

"Before this, Kelantan was not a developed state but with the existence of KESEDAR, it become more developed.

"Kelantan now has a lot of basic facilities and underwent huge transformation. The state has been provided with huge allocations.

"All this proves that the government will not put aside Kelantan and l will make sure the southern part continues to receive development.

"What is important is the people of Kelantan will continue to be defended by the Madani government," he said when launching 'Majlis Santunan Kasih Ramadan' and 'Majlis Santunan Kasih Ramadan' at Masjid Batang Merbau here today.

On another note, he advised the people not to overspend when buying food for breaking of fast during Ramadan.

"Lately, we could see the delicacies sold at Ramadan bazaar are a little bit costlier and l was told that a lot of food waste is recorded in a day.

"I cannot prevent people from buying them but if necessary, do not spend a lot. You can save your money," he added.
