Swearing in of new prime minister not expected just yet

KUALA LUMPUR: Istana Negara has confirmed that there is no swearing in ceremony of a new prime minister scheduled today.

Meanwhile, leaders of Pakatan Harapan have been gathering for a meeting at Sheraton Hotel here this morning.

It is not immediately known the reason for meeting, but sources said its related to the delay in the swearing in.

Among those present included Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, Tan Sri Muyhiddin Yassin and DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng.

Sources also said several prominent lawyers were also seen coming for the meeting.
