MyRumah Property Exhibition showcases properties in Southern Kedah

SUNGAI PETANI: The MyRumah Property Exhibition organised by the New Straits Times Press Bhd (NSTP) kicked-off its second series for this year, here, by offering properties in the northern region.

The three day exhibition which began today will be on until this Sunday at the Amanjaya Mall.

NSTP chief executive officer, Datuk Seri Jalil Hamid said the residential and real estate exhibition organised by the company is now in its third year.

He said it iss being hosted for the second time in Kedah, following the success of the MyRumah 2017 held in Aman Central, Alor Star, last year.

"Based on last year's record, MyRumah 2017 recorded more than 45,000 visitors across the series of four exhibitions held at Balai Berita, Kuala Lumpur; The Curve, Damansara; Johor Baru, Johor and Alor Star, Kedah, with 68 units of homes sold involving a total value of RM27 million.

"In the third series of the exhibition held in Alor Star, the MyRumah 2017 recorded more than 10,000 visitors with the success of selling 15 property units involving a total sales of more than RM4 million," he said in a press conference after the launch of the exhibition, today.

The exhibition was launched by Kedah State executive councillor for Housing, Local Government and Tourism, Tan Kok Yew.

Jalil said the exhibition showcases a variety of new housing projects in southern Kedah, offering homes with larger built-up space and lower prices compared to Seberang Prai or Penang.

He said, MyRumah was not just a platform which offered attractive housing projects, it is also a one stop centre that is able to answer all buyer-related issues regarding homes or the property purchase process.

"Leading property speakers are also present to share their knowledge on long-term benefits for local property buyers and investors. This includes all loan-related issues, mortgages, insurance, credit checks and more," he said.

Jalil also said that NSTP was appreciative with the presence of three property developers who joined MyRumah last year and continued to support the exhibition this year. The developers are Oriental Investment Berhad (IOB), OSK Properties Sdn Bhd and SPNB Aspirasi Sdn Bhd.

"I am confident that visitors to the exhibition will benefit substantially from the MyRumah exhibition this year, whether in the form of a dream house purchase or real estate investment, as well as useful information shared by the speakers over the last three days," he said.

The NSTP MyRumah exhibition is between 10am and 10pm and entry is free.
