632 entries for 'Sayangi Malaysiaku' National Day, Malaysia Day logo contest

PUTRAJAYA: The Communications and Multimedia Ministry has received a total of 632 entries for the 'Sayangi Malaysiaku' (Love My Malaysia) logo design competition, in conjunction with this year’s National Day and Malaysia Day celebrations.

The ministry, in a statement said the logo design competition which began on June 7 and ended yesterday had attracted Malaysians from all walks of life.

"The oldest participant is 84-year-old, while the youngest is a 15-year-old student.

"Interestingly five persons with disabilities and eight senior citizens also took part in the competition," it said adding that 46 of the entries were hand-painted logo designs.

According to the statement, only 10 logo designs would be shortlisted by a panel of judges before being presented to the Cabinet.

The 10 shortlisted logo designs would be selected based on creativity, originality and the 'wow factor' in meeting the Sayangi Malaysiaku theme. -- Bernama
