PUTRAJAYA: Tabung Harapan Malaysia has collected more than RM153.9 million as of 3pm today.
The Finance Ministry, in a Facebook posting, said the collection has reached a total of RM153.93 million.
The Tabung Harapan was established by Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad on May 30, to enable Malaysians to donate towards reducing the RM1.087 trillion national debt.
Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng had previously said the donations to Tabung Harapan Malaysia will only be used to settle government debts.
Contributions to the fund can be made via Maybank account number 5660-1062-6452.
