Sultan of Johor meets President of Mongolia

JOHOR BARU: The Sultan of Johor Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar met with the President of Mongolia Khaltmaagiin Battulga in conjunction with his first visit to the country.

According to a statement uploaded to the ruler’s official Facebook page, the meeting between Sultan Ibrahim and Battulga was held at a traditional Mongolian house in the State House in Ulaanbaatar.

Accompanying the ruler in the visit were Tunku Panglima Johor Tunku Abdul Rahman Sultan Ibrahim and a delegation from the state government.

After the meeting, Sultan Ibrahim attended a briefing presented by Mongolian government official regarding investment and business potential in the country, especially in the real estate sector.

The ruler also spent time visiting the government-owned Cashmere Gobi textile factory in Ulaanbaatar which is famous for its quality.

Mongolia is the world’s largest producer of cashmere, which is also the country largest export after minerals.

Tomorrow, Sultan Ibrahim and the delegation is scheduled to visit Tsonjin Boldog, the site of the statue of Genghis Khan, Mongolia’s first king.
