Dr Mahathir now a better man, says Hadi

KUALA NERUS: Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad is much more mature in governing the country now compared to his first tenure, Pas president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang said today

He said Dr Mahathir had learned from weaknesses during his previous administration.

“The environment and society changes, situations change, his thinking has also changed. He is much more mature and experienced now.

“That’s why he promised to return the oil royalties to Terengganu and Kelantan,” he said in response to a question whether Dr Mahathir was nicer now than before.

He nodded with a grin, answering “Yes.”

Hadi also took a jab at PH’s inconsistency in implementing their manifesto.

He said PH’s component parties were going to the ground and making their own promises to the people without taking into consideration its achievability.

This, he said, showed that PH was not a strong coalition but a “very loose” coalition.

“Every party makes different promises to the people. DAP has a different promise, PKR has its own version while Bersatu has theirs. Everyone is not on the same page.

“So when a government is formed, fulfilling the manifesto becomes a major problem,” he said at a press conference during the 64th Pas Muktamar at Kuala Terengganu Indoor Stadium Sports Complex.
