KOTA BARU: The Kelantan state government will hold a syariah-compliant bodybuilding competition named the Mr Awang Selamat Kelantan 2018 Challenge on Oct 13.
State Youth, Sports and Non-Governmental Organisations Committee chairman Wan Roslan Wan Hamat said unlike other bodybuilding competitions, participants of Mr Awang Selamat Kelantan will cover their bodies from the navel to the knees.
"So far, 50 contestants have confirmed their participation in the competition," he told reporters at the Kota Darulnaim Complex here yesterday.
Wan Roslan said the competition, to be held at the Perak Jubilee Hall here, will be divided into four categories and the winner of each category will receive a cash prize, a kris and a trophy.
