Water supply in Selangor restored

KUALA LUMPUR: The equipment replacement works at the Sungai Semenyih Water Treatment Plant have been completed and water supply will return in stages beginning today, said Syabas customer relations and communications department head Abdul Raof Ahmad.

He said operations at the water treatment plant have resumed, adding that areas in Petaling, Hulu Langat, Kuala Langat and Sepang will start receiving water in stages from 9am onwards.

He said water supply in several areas including Bangi and Kajang has returned to normal.

"Geographical locations and different altitudes of customers' premises may affect the restoration of the water supply," he said when contacted today.
