Felcra appoints new CEO

KUALA LUMPUR: Felcra Berhad has appointed a new chief executive officer, Mohd Nazrul Izam bin Mansor, effective Oct 22.

He will be replacing Datuk Zulkarnain Md Eusope, who completed his service today, according to Felcra's chairman Datuk Nageeb Wahab.

Zulkarnain's term was supposed to end in July, 2019.

Mohd Nazrul, 43, is a corporate member who has 18 years of experience in various fields of business.

Prior to this, he was the Managing Director of Teras Dara Consortium Sdn Bhd, a company dealing in energy, plantation, property investment and property development.

Prior to that, he held major positions in several other corporate entities.

He is also a member of the Chartered Accountant (Malaysia) and Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA), as well as an alumni from The University of Queensland in Australia.

"I am convinced that with his experience and level of professionalism, he is able to lead Felcra Berhad, the well-being of the company, staff and settlers throughout the country," said Nageeb to reporters after chairing a board of directors meeting at Wisma Felcra, since taking office on Oct 1.

He also extended his sincere appreciation and gratitude to Zulkarnain for his contribution while leading Felcra Berhad.

Nageeb said Mohd Nazrul's appointment recieved the consent of the Prime Minister's Office as well as the Ministry Of Finance.

He also informed that all previous nine board of directors were told to step down, adding that some new appointment have been made .

"Some we are waiting from the Prime Minister's Office."

Meanwhile, Mohd Nazrul said he will follow the vision outlined by the chairman and pledged his support and commitment to Felcra by bringing it to greater heights.
