Bukit Kukus landslide: Fourth body found

GEORGETOWN: The state Fire and Rescue Department has retrieved the body of an Indonesian man who was buried alive in a landslide at the Bukit Kukus paired road project site here.

Search and rescue incident commander Morni Mamat said the victim's body was discovered by several tracker dogs from the K9 Unit at about 11.55am today.

"The victim's body was discovered under the rubble near the containers. We have yet to ascertain his identity," he told the NSTP when contacted.

Earlier, the body of a Burmese woman was recovered by SAR personnel at about 1.30am.

At least four people have died in the landslide, which struck the site on Friday afternoon. Three people were rescued while two others are still missing.
