Taman Bukit Pantai narrowly escapes disaster: Landslide triggered by pool leak contained

KUALA LUMPUR: A landslide occurred behind a housing unit in Taman Bukit Pantai due to a water drainage leak from an upper house unit's swimming pool.

Pantai Fire and Rescue station senior operations commander Mustafa Kamal Mohd Arih said no victims were trapped in the incident.

"The fire brigade has emptied the pool's water to prevent the soil from becoming damp and causing soil movement or erosion.

In a statement, he said: "The matter has been forwarded to the Kuala Lumpur City Hall slope unit, police, and contractors for further action. "

Seventeen fire and rescue department officers, two fire rescue tenders, and one Toyota Hilux from the Pantai and Seputeh fire stations were involved in the operation.
