First MyRumah exhibition in Ipoh

IPOH: For the first time ever, MyRumah Property Showcase organised by the New Straits Times Press (NSTP) will be held at AEON Klebang Mall here.

The fifth and final series of the showcase, the three-day event will kick off on Friday from 10am until 10pm.

NSTP advertising general manager Roche Chew said Ipoh has been chosen as the final series following overwhelming response from the previous fourth series.

“I think we have always wanted to do one more venue up north because we have done it in Sungai Petani and Alor Star, Kedah and I guess we still have a bit of time this year before we end 2018.

“We decided to contact our team and developers partners and we finally make it here,” he said at a media briefing with the developers at Aeon Mall Klebang here today.

Also present were NSTP southern region advertising head S. Linggaraj and MyRumah Project Manager, Mohd Haslan Abdul Abbas.

This year, the first four MyRumah series were held in Shah Alam, Sungai Petani, Johor Bahru and Melaka and attracted about 45,800 visitors.

Chew added five property developers and one non-developer would be part of the exhibition, with more than 1,000 homes would be on offer.

“The developers are SPNB Aspirasi Sdn Bhd, Rima Properties Holding Sdn Bhd, Sun Land Properties Sdn Bhd, Casa Subang Sdn Bhd and P.K Lee Sdn Bhd, with Takaful Ikhlas Berhad taking part in the event.

“These developers feature various medium to high-end housing properties in Ipoh and Gurun, Kedah which prices set between RM300,000 and RM500,000,” he said.

The properties that will be offered in Perak are single-storey Semi-D project in Metro Maya at Batu Gajah, double-storey terrace houses at Taman Klebang Rima in Ipoh and double-storey terrace houses in Sundland Residence in Jalan Kuala Kangsar.

Meanwhile in Gurun, the properties that are up for grabs are single-storey and double-storey Semi-D houses at Taman Permai Utara.

Chew added seven renowned property speakers would be sharing the latest tips and trends in the local property market, apart from having lucky draws and children activities.

“This time, we invited popular TV host Maria Tunku Sabri on the last day of the event for a special cooking demonstration. She will also share her personal experience in property investment, including the seven-storey bungalow that has gone viral on social media,” he added.

Chew said the exhibition was expected to attract 10,000 visitors and it would be launched by state Housing and Local Government Committee chairman Paul Yong Choo Kiong.

“MyRumah is a premier property platform that helps buyers secure their ideals home in a unique way. It also promotes home ownership and facilitate home buyers to have easy access to premium yet affordable housing available in the market.

“This is in line with the MyRumah’s 3E’s concept of Education, Exhibition and Experience, to enrich visitors’ involvement and familiarity with the nation’s premier property showcase,” he added.
