Former Cleo eligible bachelor died fighting for IS?

KUALA LUMPUR: A report has surfaced saying that a former Cleo magazine Most Eligible Bachelor winner died in 2016 fighting for the Islamic State (IS).

Australia's Herald Sun recently published a news article naming Amir Millson, who is half Malaysian, half Australian, was killed when he stepped on a landmine in Syria.

Checks on the Internet found that Millson had infact won the most eligible bachelor title in 2010.

A Curtin University graduate, Millson was married and had a son however Herald Sun reported that he changed radically in 2014.

The publication said Millson's last posting online was in 2015 where he shared an image of himself as an armed fighter in Syria.

The Daily Mail Australia meanwhile said Millson's death was confirmed by the Australian Security Intelligence Organisation in September this year.

According to a blog post in 2010, Millson's full name was Amirrudin Hud Rashid Milson. He was 27 when he entered and won the most eligible bachelor contest.
