Anti-ICERD rally: Najib arrives at PWTC

KUALA LUMPUR: Former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak has arrived at the Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC) to perform the Zohor prayers before heading out to Dataran Merdeka for the rally to oppose Malaysia acceding to the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination (ICERD).

He is expected to take a ride from the PWTC LRT station and disembark at the Masjid Jamek station, which is the nearest station to the rally venue.

Najib was greeted by several rally-goers at PWTC.

Umno leaders including party president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi have gathered at the National Mosque.

Only a few hundreds rally goers clad in white T-shirts were seen gathering at PWTC.

They are expected to move out at about 2.30pm.

Najib is expected to deliver a speech at the rally and share the same stage with Pas leaders including Pas president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang.
