Kedah Sultan, Sultanah express condolences over death of firefighter Adib

ALOR STAR: The Sultan of Kedah, Al Aminul Karim Sultan Sallehuddin Sultan Badlishah, and the Sultanah of Kedah, Sultanah Maliha Tengku Ariff, have expressed condolences to the family of firefighter Muhammad Adib Mohd Kassim who died from injuries sustained in a riot in Selangor.

The private secretary to the Sultan of Kedah, Col (K) Datuk Elmi Yusoff, said Their Royal Highnesses were deeply saddened by the passing of Muhammad Adib and expressed the hope that his family would be bold in their moment of bereavement.

“Tuanku prays for His Almighty to shower blessings on the late Muhammad Adib,” he told Bernama today.

Elmi said Sultan Sallehuddin also expressed gratitude for the contribution of Muhammad Adib to the fire and rescue service.

Muhammad Adib was buried yesterday in Kuala Kedah. He died at the National Heart Institute (IJN) on Monday night from injuries sustained during the riot on Nov 27 at the Seafield Sri Maha Mariamman Temple in USJ25, Subang Jaya. - Bernama
