Business as usual at Langkawi International Airport

LANGKAWI: It is business as usual at the Langkawi International Airport as the tourist island prepares for any eventually of side effect from the tropical Pabuk storm.

The airport manager, Jefri Ramli, said he has yet to receive any request or notification from airlines companies to cancel or delay their flights.

He said as of now, the situation at the airport is under control and the weather is reportedly fine.

“The airport is operating as usual and that there are 30 flights that are arriving and departing from the airport.

“If there is any flights cancellation, such decision is made by the airlines companies after notifying the Department of Civil Aviation.

“The Langkawi International Airport is also working closely with the Meteorological Department to get the latest updates on the weather situation,” he said.
