KUALA TERENGGANU: Terengganu Umno Youth chief suffered injuries following an accident at KM310 of the East Coast Expressway (LPT2) near the Kemasik exit, here, today.
In the 10am incident, Tengku Haphiz Tengku Putera was on the way from Kuala Berang to Kuantan when his car rammed into the road divider.
It is learned that Tengku Haphiz lost control of his car after running over a puddle of water, causing his vehicle to veer to the right and subsequently crashing into the metal road divider.
He said it was raining heavily when the incident happened leading to poor visibility as he almost did not notice the puddle of water.
"I am thankful to Allah because I only sustained light injuries and scratches on my arm," he said when contacted.
Meanwhile, a Kemaman district police spokesperson from the traffic division confirmed receiving a report on the incident.
