Student dies in gruesome Port Dickson accident

PORT DICKSON: A student at the Port Dickson Vocational College (KVPD) was crushed to death when he was run over by four vehicles in an accident in KM14.9, Seremban-Port Dickson highway, near Bandar Springhill here early today.

In the incident at 12.55am, the victim Muhammad Izzul Akmal Azmi, 19, was riding a motorbike from Seremban to Port Dickson. He was accompanied by two colleagues, Awang Fitri Amirul Reza Awang Halil and Abdullah Hasyimi Mohd Syukri, both 19.

Port Dickson District Police Chief, Superintendent Aidi Sham Mohamed said upon reaching the accident spot the victim lost control of his motorbike and fell on the road.

"He was first run over by his colleagues' motorbikes, before two cars hit him. The victim's body was crushed and he died on the spot," he said.

Aidi Sham said the two friends who were injured on the face and body were taken to Tuanku Ja'afar Hospital Seremban (HTJ), while the two drivers, Muhammad Fakhrul Arif Suzuki, 25 and Mohamad Rosli Paimon, 53 escaped unhurt.

"A post mortem will be conducted today on the victim, who is from Taman Desa Permai, Pedas, Rembau. The case is being investigated under Section 41 (1) of the Road Transport Act 1987," Aidi Sham said.
