Rosmah arrested, to be charged tomorrow

PUTRAJAYA: Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor has been arrested by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) at 1.45pm today after she was summoned to its headquarters to complete their final investigation process into a solar panel installation project in Sarawak schools.

According to Bernama, Rosmah who is the wife of former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak, was then released on MACC bail.

In a statement, the MACC said Rosmah is expected to be charged at the Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court tomorrow pertaining to allegations of misappropriation with regard to the solar panel project.

The MACC said they obtained the nod from the Attorney-General's Chambers (AGC) to proceed with charging Rosmah in court.

She faces charges under Section 16(A)(a) of the MACC Act 2009.

Rosmah arrived at the commission's headquarters here earlier today before leaving some two hours later.
