PARIT BUNTAR: 15 houses, a school and a mosque were badly damaged in a storm in Kuala Kurau, near here, early today.
Perak Public Utilities, Infrastructure, Agriculture and Plantation Committee chairman Abdul Yunus Jamhari said the 4am incident involved houses in Kampung Parit Mat Ali Tengah and Sungai Baru as well as Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Sungai Baru and Sungai Baru Mosque.
“Damage is estimated at between RM10,000 and RM50,000,” he told reporters when met at Kampung Parit Mat Ali Tengah, here. -- Bernama
