PM thanks retiring IGP for his service

KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad today thanked Tan Sri Mohamad Fuzi Harun for his services as the inspector-general of police.

“Received a farewell courtesy from Tan Sri Fuzi Harun, the inspector-general of police, who ends his service this Saturday.

“Thank you and highly appreciate the service rendered over the years,” he said in a Facebook posting, today.

Dr Mahathir also uploaded three photos taken during Fuzi’s visit to his office.

It had been reported that Fuzi’s contract would end in May.

Fuzi, who turns 60 on May 4, was appointed as the 11th inspector-general of police on Sept 4, 2017.

He replaced Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar.

He joined the Royal Malaysian Police as an ASP cadet on Jan 8, 1984.
