The two were among six people killed in a head-on collision between a Perodua Myvi and Perodua Kancil at Km348 of Jalan Kuala Lumpur-Kota Baru on Saturday morning.
The remains of the mother and son arrived at the cemetery from the Raub Hospital via ambulance at 2.05am. They were buried together about 45 minutes later.
Hasliza’s mother, Sapinah Hussin, 67, was among those who could not contain her grief as the bodies of her daughter and grandson were lowered into their burial plot. She was seen weeping and being consoled by family members.
The accident at 2.45am on Saturday seriously injured Hasliza’s husband, Mohd Syaril Sulaiman, 44, and their two other children – Khaliesah Khairina, 7 and Dhia Afriena, 5. The three are being treated at the Lipis Hospital.
Four members of another family who were in the other vehicle were also killed.
