SEREMBAN: The Seremban Municipal Council (MPS) has joined SWM Environment Sdn Bhd’s (SWM Environment) recycling programme called ‘KITAR3cycle’, in an effort to educate the public to take up recycling.
SWM Environment corporate affairs general manager Mohd Norlisam Mohd Nordin said the KITAR3cycle programme was implemented last month in stages before it was extended to all local councils in the state.
He said the joint venture could have a positive impact in terms of preserving the environment and avoiding wastage of resources.
"This joint venture can be the best avenue for residents to participate in recycling practices by becoming active members of KITAR3cycle while taking care of the environment for our future generations,” he said in a statement today.
Meanwhile, MPS president Datuk Zazali Salehudin said he was very serious about cleanliness and environmental issues under his municipality. -- BERNAMA
