KEPALA BATAS: The Federal Territories Religious Department (Jawi) will investigate reports of alleged sex videos involving Economic Affairs Minister Datuk Mohamad Azmin Ali.
Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Dr Mujahid Yusof Rawa said the investigation will be carried out by the authorities based on its jurisdiction under the law.
“Jawi will look into the complaint in accordance with the law. I leave it to the relevant authorities to do the necessary investigation,” he said.
On Tuesday, a WhatsApp group posted several video clips of two men involved in a sexual tryst.
The following day, PKR Santubong Youth chief Haziq Aziz admitted that it was him in the video and alleged the other person was Azmin.
The former Selangor Menteri Besar has denied the allegation saying that it was a malicious agenda to tarnish his image.
Following the revelations, police have begun their probe with Haziq being nabbed and questioned over the issue.
Police also confirmed that Azmin would be called in soon to give his statement over the sex scandal.
