Zahid Hamidi makes another appearance at MACC HQ

PUTRAJAYA: Former Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi was summoned again to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission’s (MACC) headquarters here today to have his statement recorded.

It is learnt that this development is in connection with a case involving a private company dealing in bringing in Chinese tourists to Malaysia.

Zahid arrived at the headquarters at 9.30am in a black Toyota Velfire, an hour before his scheduled meeting.

The graft buster summoned former Defence Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein yesterday to have his statement recorded on the Ministry’s land swap deal issue.

Last Thursday, Zahid, who is also Umno president, was called up to give a statement on the same issue.

Harian Metro reported yesterday that a former senior minister will be called up for questioning today and subsequently charged tomorrow.
