MyRumah gets thumbs up

MELAKA: The New Straits Times Press (NSTP) 2019 MyRumah Property Showcase serves as a useful platform for the public, particularly first-time house buyers, to purchase their dream homes.

Mechanical engineer Khairul Azwan Ab Halim said the exhibition adopted an approach to educate buyers and not merely focused on aggressive selling and profit-making.

The 31-year-old was among the thousands of visitors who thronged the event organised by The New Straits Times Press (M) Bhd at the AEON City Mall, here, yesterday.

Khairul spent 20 minutes listening to briefings by exhibitors.

“I was particularly interested in the 4P concepts combo, which are exhibition, experience, educators and environment.”

Another visitor, Rohani Arbain, 28, said the exhibition was worth the visit, especially for youth who want to plan their financing, apart from purchasing a house.

“I saw real estate experts explaining how one can get tax reliefs for buying houses.”

The 2019 MyRumah Property Showcase started yesterday, from 10am to 10pm, and will end today.

It featured more than 12 housing projects in Melaka and Johor, comprising 2,653 units with an estimated gross development value of RM681 million.

The second series of the 2019 MyRumah Property Showcase in Melaka is targeting homebuyers and property investors in the southern region, offering properties at prices from as low as RM180,000 to RM679,000.

The exhibition also features seven property developers: Bukit Pelali (Astaka Padu Sdn Bhd); Faithview Group Development Sdn Bhd; Reliable Group of State Housing Department; Melaka Housing Authority; Scientex Height Sdn Bhd, and SPNB Aspiration.

Takaful Ikhlas Bhd also participated in the exhibition.

Leading property experts also gave tips on buying homes and real estate investment.

Buyers stand to win a Nissan Almera car in the property showcase’s lucky draw.
