KUALA LUMPUR: Popular singer-songwriter Faizal Tahir is showing his solidarity with the Palestinians by hosting a mini-showcase in aid of them this Sunday.
The two-hour event organised by his humanitarian organisation IAmFaithMen and his recording company Faithful Music is themed Faith4Palestine and will be held at the Royale Chulan Damansara Hotel in Mutiara Damansara, Petaling Jaya at 2pm.
Faizal said in a statement yesterday that he will perform several humanitarian songs and will be joined by a few guest artistes.
He will also auction some of his belongings to raise funds for the Palestinians and host a podcast session with humanitarian activist Nadir Al-Nuri of Cinta Gaza Malaysia.
"Faith4Palestine aims to educate the public on Palestine's history and help Malaysians understand the Palestinians' plight better. It aims to educate us on what we can and should do to show our support to them," said Faizal, who thanked Media Prima Audio for their support of the event.
"Music is an important element to convey their message and for us to extend our love and support to them."
Tickets to the showcase are priced at RM99 and proceeds will fully go to Cinta Gaza Malaysia.
