Ainul Mardhiah's parents can't wait for her first birthday

KUALA LUMPUR: While Ainul Mardhiah Ahmad Safiuddin continues to be in good health, her parents cannot wait for their baby daughter’s first birthday celebration.

Born on Aug 13, 2018, Ainul will turn one in 13 days’ time.

Ainul, who had undergone surgery in London to remove a tumour from her mouth, is currently at the Kuala Lumpur Women and Children Hospital.

The baby is awaiting further examination and imaging on the chest to determine if there is a germ infection before she can be discharged.

“During the first flight from Malaysia to London, Ainul had been infected with germs. We do not want this to happen again, so we have decided to go straight to HKL when we arrived here on Sunday,” her mother Nurul Erwani Zaidi, 24, told Bernama when met at the hospital.

“I will not force Ainul to crawl, lie on her front or talk like any other children because I accept her as she is and I will wait to see her grow up like other children.

“I always pray that Ainul will be given that opportunity,” she said.

Nurul Erwani, who is currently unemployed, is devoting her life and taking turns with her husband to take care of Ainul in the hospital.

Meanwhile, her husband, Ahmad Safiuddin Ahmad Razak, 24, is still working whilst managing his own retail store called ‘Asar Halmart’ at Taman Desa Molek in Melaka.

The store, which sells Muslim food and beverage products, is also marketing its product, ‘Ainul’s Popcorn’, to cover the cost of Ainul’s treatment and care. – BERNAMA
