SHAH ALAM: Two Indonesian construction workers were killed when a concrete wall fell on them in Section U16, Denai Alam, here, this afternoon.
Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant operations director Hafisham Mohd Noor said a distress call was received at 4pm.
He said a rescue team, headed by senior operations commanding officer Mohd Apandi Mahmood, was deployed to the scene at a drainage construction site.
Hafisham said the victims, both aged 42, died on the spot. They were identified as Sahrullah and Mattalha.
“Upon arriving at the scene, one of the victims had been pulled out by members of the public. My men extricated the other victim by breaking the concrete wall. It took them 20 minutes to do so,” said Hafisham, adding that the bodies had been handed to police for further investigation.
