Aimin was close to couple behind tahfiz school

KUANTAN: Tahfiz pupil Mohammad Aimin Nurul Amin who died on Nov 7 due to alleged abuse was very fond of the married couple who ran the religious school in Kampung Kuala Kaung, Lanchang, Temerloh.

Hostel warden Siti Nor Asilah Samsuri, 39, said Aimin had developed a close bond with her and her husband (Mohd Heesham Mat Yeh, 39) since the first day he arrived.

“Aimin came with his stepbrother last month. Since then, he had been close with us.

“It could be that he did not receive much love and attention before.

“However, I never expected this to have caused other students to become jealous of him,” she said.

State police chief Datuk Abd Jalil Hassan said today that jealousy could have triggered the group to attack and kill Aimin.

Siti Nor Asilah said she had gone to wake Aimin up for prayers at about 1pm. He was lying motionless in bed and his legs were cold, she added.

She said she and her husband immediately rushed Aimin to the Lanchang health clinic in Temerloh where he died at about 2pm.
