Najib's supporters momentarily stunned after hearing court ruling

KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Seri Najib Razak's supporters were shocked and momentarily stunned after the High Court here today ordered him to enter his defence over the abuse of SRC International funds.

His supporters, some who arrived early morning in buses and vans, waited eagerly to hear the court ruling, and were obviously disappointed when told that the Pekan Member of Parliament will have to defend himself against the charges.

Some of the female supporters were seen trying hard to compose themselves while others were busy taking selfies to remember the occasion.

However, those interviewed said they were still confident that their hero will eventually be freed of all the charges.

One of them, who travelled all the way from Penang, said she was confident that “the truth will prevail.”

The 56-year old, who arrived here last night, said: "I believe God will be with him…I hope it all ends well for him.”

A 43-year old supporter from Setiawan, Perak, who also declined to be named, said he was confident that Najib will fight till the end.

"I hope his supporters will not abandon him and continue with this fight," the owner of a car repair shop said.
