IPOH: Four people were killed and ten others injured in a major collision involving seven vehicles at Km317 of the North-South Expressway (NSE) near Tapah, on Tuesday night.
The deceased comprised a boy, two women and a man. Their identities have not been ascertained.
The accident involved a Mitsubishi Pajero, a Perodua Axia, a Perodua Myvi, a Honda Accord, a lorry and two trailer lorries.
A Perak Fire and Rescue Department spokesman said that they received a distress call on the accident at 10.50pm.
“There were 14 victims (dead and injured) altogether.
“The dead are a man, a woman and a boy in the Pajero; and another woman in the Perodua Myvi,” he said in a statement here.
The rescue and clean-up operation ended at 1.50am today.
