KOTA KINABALU: A man went “live” on his Instagram account before he committed suicide at an apartment at Jalan Tuaran Bypass here.
The 26-year-old man was found dead by his family at about 12.30pm yesterday.
Deputy district police chief Superintendent George Abd Rakman said they were informed on the incident by the victim’s nephew, who said the victim mentioned that he was depressed in the video.
“We believe the victim committed suicide by cutting his wrist. There are also wounds on the left elbow, and scratches on his back,” he said when contacted.
George added that there were no related tools or weapons found to be related to the incident. The victim was sent to the Forensics Department of Queen Elizabeth hospital for post-mortem. The case has been classified as sudden death.
