The Sungai Semenyih Water Treatment Plant was forced to cease operations today when odour was detected in Sungai Semenyih. The source of the odour pollution is believed to be Indah Water Konsortium’s sewage treatment plant in Bandar Mahkota.

Selangor Water Management Authority (LUAS) is currently employing activated carbon dosing to rid the water of the odour.
