A VIDEO clip of an over-enthusiastic amateur bowler launching a bowling ball into the air and through the ceiling of a Kuantan bowling alley has gone viral on social media.
The slow-motion 14-second video, posted by Hazril Azharudin @hazrilazharudin on Twitter on Jan 5, has garnered 417,000 views as of Tuesday morning.
The video was also shared on Facebook via Malaysia Viral account.
Captioned "This happened in Kuantan. Bowling strike to the moon", the video was captured at Megalanes Bowling at the Berjaya Megamall Kuantan, Says reported.
The footage shows the guilty party, with a blue bowling ball in his right hand, taking an alarmingly wide swing, before releasing the ball upwards – complete with a leap.
The ball unsurprisingly turns projectile, soars towards the ceiling and smashes through several ceiling panels.
The man, still in forward momentum, instinctively cringes in fear of the ball falling onto him. He skids across the bowling lane, falls and lands right beneath the hole in the ceiling – but strangely, the ball makes no reappearance.
A slew of netizens responded by sharing their own video clips of bowling disasters.
