RMO: Hypermarkets to open earlier for elderly

KUALA LUMPUR: Mydin hypermarkets will open their doors half an hour from today for senior citizens and people with disabilities until March 31.

In a Facebook post, Mydin Mohamed Holdings Bhd said its hypermarkets would open at 7.30am for the two groups and there would be special payment lanes for them.

“Staff will be on standby to assist these groups,” it said.

Jaya Grocer will also open half an hour early for the elderly and their caregivers, from today until March 31.

“We are introducing special opening hours, starting from 9.30am, at all outlets for elderly customers and their caregivers.

“This initiative is to ensure that those in need can shop for their daily needs in a safe and worry-free environment.” --Bernama
