THE Higher Education Ministry has extended the deadline for admission into public universities via Central University Admission Unit online portal, UPUOnline from March 31 to April 7.
The new deadline for candidates to purchase the unique ID number from Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN) is April 6.
The extension is only applicable to applicants who are SPM leavers. Application deadline for STPM and Matriculation students or equivalent remains unchanged at April 7.
Higher Education Minister Datuk Dr. Noraini Ahmad in a statement said the decision was made to consider Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) leavers who have limited access to the internet during the enforcement of the Movement Control Order.
“Our officers are also live on Facebook daily from March 23 to 27 at 10am and 3pm to answer any questions,” she said.
