LG Electronics donates latest purifiers to NST

KUALA LUMPUR: In light of the Covid-19 pandemic, LG Electronics Malaysia donated three of its latest "PuriCare Air Purifiers" worth RM25,000 to the New Straits Times (NST) today.

Its managing director Kim Kyutae said the contribution was to provide NST frontliners with overall comfort and cleaner air throughout their working time in the office.

“As a corporate citizen of Malaysia, this gesture is to show our support to the team at the New Straits Times who work endlessly around the clock during Malaysia’s hour of need.

“We understand that in light of the current Covid-19 situation, our media friends are braving the storm to provide Malaysians with the latest and certified news.

“It is our sincerest hope that the air purifiers will provide them comfort, while purifying the indoor air around them,” he said.

With the recent spike in the number of positive Covid-19 cases, he also reminded everyone to seriously observe the Movement Control Order (MCO) and avoid crowded places, practice social distancing and keep indoor air fresh and clean.

LG’s decision to donate their new air purifiers to the NST during the extended duration of the MCO goes in line with the home appliance manufacturer’s approach in producing "Technology that Cares", he added.
