PUTRAJAYA: The Health Ministry today reported 36 new Covid-19 cases, of which 28 are foreign nationals.
Its director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said no new fatality was recorded and 88 patients were discharged after they fully recovered.
The number of cured and discharged patients now stands at 5,439, while the total number of positive cases is 6,855, with 1,304 active cases.
There are now 14 cases still warded in intensive care units, of which five require respiratory assistance.
The death toll caused by the pandemic so far in Malaysia is 112.
