Singapore, Brunei nationals allowed to enter Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: Singapore and Brunei nationals will be allowed to enter Malaysia, said Senior Minister (Security Cluster) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

He said the decision adopted at the Special Cabinet meeting on June 17 would enable the nationals of the two Asean nations to enter without their need to obtain permission from the Immigration Department.

They are also not required to undergo quarantine or the Covid-19 screening test.

"However, the permission to enter will be based on the same relaxation given to Malaysians by the Singapore and Brunei governments based on the reciprocity policy.

"It will be known when discussions by the Foreign Affairs ministry secretary-general are held with his counterparts," said Ismail Sabri, who is also Defence Minister.
