KUALA LUMPUR: The retail prices of RON97 and RON95 will increase by three sen for the period of June 20 to June 26.
Diesel is also up by 4 sen.
The new prices are as follows:
RON97 - RM1.89
RON95 - RM1.59
Diesel - RM1.77
The prices are based on the weekly retail pricing of petroleum products using the Automatic Pricing Mechanism (APM) formula.
In a statement, the Finance Ministry said the increase was influenced buy the change in the prices of refined fuel products, in line with the global oil price at present.
"The government will continue to monitor the effects of the global oil price change and will take appropriate steps to ensure the welfare and wellbeing of the rakyat are cared for," the statement read.
