KUALA LUMPUR: A Lembaga Tabung Haji (TH) staff member has been tested positive for Covid-19.
TH in a statement today said the staff member, who is attached to its headquarters in Jalan Tun Razak had undergone a screening yesterday.
"The staff member has been tested positive for Covid-19 today and is now being treated at a hospital."
The worker's close contacts had been identified and told to undergo screening followed by 14-day quarantine.
"TH will carry out a disinfection exercise at the workplace and take measures to minimise infection risks to other employees as well as depositors dealing at our counters.
"TH prioritises the safety of both employees and depositors."
TH also reminded the people to continue to adhere to the standard operating procedures when visiting its office or branches.
Malaysia recorded 862 new Covid-19 cases and three deaths as of noon today.
