CMCO in 6 states

KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said Kedah, Perak, Negri Sembilan, Pahang, Kelantan and Terengganu will be placed under the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) beginning Wednesday (Jan 13) for two weeks.

In a special address aired live today, Muhyiddin said Perlis and Sarawak will continue to observe the Recovery MCO (RMCO).

While interdistrict travel is permitted in CMCO and RMCO states, interstate travel will not be allowed nationwide during this period.

No social gatherings, such as weddings, wedding receptions, conferences, religious processions (including Thaipusam), meetings, seminars, courses, and group sport activities are allowed under the CMCO.

Meanwhile, for religious activities, it is allowed with the minimum number of attendees stipulated in the SOP to ensure physical distancing.

State religious authorities are advised to provide appropriate guidelines in determining the number of attendees allowed.
