Terengganu Umno liaison chief Ahmad Said tests Covid-19 positive

SETIU: State Umno liaison chief Datuk Seri Ahmad Said and his wife, To'Puan Seri Norliza Mahmud, tested positive for Covid-19 today.

The couple was rushed from their home in Kijal, Kemaman to the Sultanah Nur Zahirah Hospital (HSNZ) at 2.30pm.

The former Terengganu Menteri Besar said he and his wife had taken a swab test at home, conducted by doctors from a private clinic in Chukai.

"I have been feeling tired and uncomfortable (these last) three days, and called in the doctors from a private clinic who took swab tests on me and my wife.

"The tests were sent to Kuala Lumpur, and this morning, the results came back positive," said Ahmad, who was taken to the HSNZ in an ambulance.

Asked if he knew where he had contracted the virus, he said: "I don't know.'

Both Ahmad and his wife are now quarantined at the hospital for an unspecified period.
