Melaka still leads with high Covid-19 infectivity rate

KUALA LUMPUR: The national infectivity rate (Rt) has dropped to 0.91, but Melaka is still showing the highest rate at 1.27.

The latest data showed a slight jump for the historical state from Sunday's infectivity rate of 1.17.

Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah, who uploaded the latest figures on his Twitter account, said Penang had the second highest Rt at 1.09, followed by Selangor (1.08); Johor (1.07), Kuala Lumpur (1.02) and Sarawak (1.0).

States which recorded an Rt of below the 1.0 rate are Pahang at 0.94, Negri Sembilan (0.93), Perak (0.92), Kedah (0.87), Terengganu (0.86), Sabah (0.81), Kelantan (0.77) and Putrajaya (0.71).

Labuan and Perlis each recorded a zero infectivity rate today.
