11 Covid-19 positive frontliners in Kelantan stable

KOTA BARU: The 11 health workers who tested positive for Covid-19 in Kelantan are reported to be in stable condition.

Kelantan health director Datuk Dr Zaini Hussin said the 11, attached to both government and private clinics, have been warded at several hospitals in the state in stages since early this year.

"I was informed that they are now improving and are in stable condition. Their cases were the latest recorded and so far, the state health department has not received any new cases involving the state's health workers," he said.

On the new two clusters recorded in the state recently, he said 64 cases were recorded.

"The 64 are from the Jalan Long Yunus and Banggol Manok clusters which include family members of positive patients. They are now warded at several hospitals throughout the state," he said.

Meanwhile, he urged the public who have registered for the Covid-19 vaccine via the MySejahtera application to ensure they attend their appointment once they receive the dates.

"If possible, do not reject the injection once your names have been listed. They must follow the directive according to the schedule given as we do not want to waste the doses.

"They must not worry about the side effects as so far, we did not receive any complaints on serious side effects from those who took the vaccination.

"There are several cases where those given the vaccination had complained that they suffered minor side effects but these do not result in any threats to their health," said Dr Zaini.
